About Us

Ferdinando Beccalli-Falco, President & CEO – GE Europe and North Asia: “The region needs some good marketing. From an international perspective, it appears to be one region, while people understand these are not homogeneous countries. However, maybe it is time to act as a region to scale up and attract more attention, investment and to raise a positive profile with the decision makers of the world.”

Communication is everywhere in the contemporary world. It can create understanding and forge common ground which can be beneficial for all parties. GE, as a company, is very much part of the global conversation through the voices of our experts – engineers, financiers, business leaders etc. Today we open an online multi-stakeholder dialogue about Central and Eastern Europe that builds on our offline experiences.

The GE for CEE blog is about people and solutions to help them solve some of today’s toughest challenges. To be even more precise, this is a dialogue about the economic prospects of over 130 million Europeans. We hope that our blog will serve as a platform for a meaningful regional discussion that will create ties between different people, provide a forum for sharing experiences, facilitate the communication of best practices and generate ideas and enthusiasm about how nations can work together to make this region shine.

Through this blog, we also want to hear your thoughts in response to our posts and hope that it will become an open platform for sharing ideas. This blog and its companions, a YouTube channel , EszterforCEE twitter feed, LinkedInGEforCEE Group and GEforCEE Facebook page, offer photos and videos, news, technology, human interest stories and viewpoints on important issues relevant for the region and the world.
