Let’s Collaborate

Yesterday two simultaneous high level stakeholder roundtables discussed the need of a collaborative approach to innovation. The events took place at the Warsaw City Hall and in the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest which are about 600 km far from each other, but the distance did not show in the content of the debates as the results of GE Innovation Barometer connected them. Both sessions were open for media.

Value of Long Term Partnership

On the 10th of December the Hungarian Government and GE Hungary signed a strategic partnership agreement referring to 22 years of partnership with Hungary, export oriented top technology production and the opportunity of joint innovation in the future. Minister of Economy, Gyorgy Matolcsy and Ivan Hutter, GM of GE Lighting EMEA signed the contract. GE is the 7th company with similar agreement with the Hungarian government.

GE Roots Firm in Poland

A huge live tree stood on stage at the 20 years in Poland anniversary celebration event where GE hosted more than 300 prominent guests, including members of government, GE customers, academia and the Polish media. All gathered to pay tribute to Poland and GE’s partnership at the Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw. Having arrived as a pioneering sapling two decades ago, GE is ready to continue to play a leading role in Poland’s technological and innovative revolution.

Racing Against Time in Cyprus

One year on from the explosion at the Cyprus Mari Naval Base, two of the damaged GE turbines at the Vasilikos Power Station are back in full service. Over 200 GE technicians and engineers were involved in this huge rehabilitation effort. The project’s success and customer’s happiness are testament to the unique service we provided for both the local community and the economic prosperity of the entire country. I am proud to work for GE.
