Green Lighting in Intelligent Buildings

The latest of GE Lighting’s cost conscious and environmentally friendly lighting solutions were showcased at Light+Building 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany, the world’s biggest trade fair of its kind. The main theme was energy efficiency and after months of busy preparations at the GE Lighting EMEA Headquarters, our team was there in force.

We presented our lighting solutions on the three most important application areas where light has an impact on us: our health, our safety and our shopping decisions. Our office lighting, roadway/street lighting and retail applications bring about greener and more ergonomic offices, safer cities and environments, and enhanced shopping experience.

GE Lighting among Biggest Players at Light+Building 2012

Visitors buzzed around our attractive MyLight Twitter wall and from there guests were quickly drawn into the booth by our presentations.  Among the latest products that made a successful debut, many have been developed and designed in the Budapest Global Technology Center. For retail and office applications, you could come across LED modules, including our Infusion range that just earned the brand new Zhaga certification as well as the complete Lumination range. Among our outdoor solutions, the popular CMH range was showcased for street lingting and monument lighting.

Also, exerts gave presentations from all over Europe at our booth. We shared our opinions with our “virtual” audience as well, and developed “Illuminating Ideas”, a series of short interviews from Light+Building 2012, available on our Youtube channel. In the episode you find here, Moshe Gov, General Manager of Semicom Lexis, shares his thoughts on how lighting and sensors will be working together to achieve the best energy efficiencies.

GE Lighting left a stronger footprint than ever at Light+Building 2012. We showed our capabilities, put our innovations on display and discussed our belief and planned efforts in developing more efficient, healthier and greener lighting solutions with key experts and our business partners. Visitors’ feedback was complimentary and inspirational for us to develop even more amazing solutions for Light+Building 2014.
