Health (De)Grades in CEE

Bloomberg has recently published its list of the healthiest countries in the world, based on separate scores for the countries’ public health situation and health-risks, putting the spotlight on such factors as life expectancy at birth and infant mortality, death rates in different age groups, causes of death and life expectancy at the age of 65. Singapore is the healthiest country in the world, followed by Italy and Australia. Slovenia topped the rankings for CEE countries, ranked 25th in Bloomberg’s list, with the Czech Republic, Bosnia, Croatia, Albania, Poland and Slovakia all appearing in the top 50 countries.

East-West Divide?

Best to Invest Rankings in Eastern Europe

Hungary, Poland, Estonia and the Slovak Republic scored highest in Eastern Europe on the Best-to-Invest Rankings made by the Investment Consulting Associates (ICA) and the online publication Site Selection using comprehensive market analysis tools and research in addition to new plant databases. Hungary scored another first with its capital Budapest becoming the number one investment city in the region (Top Metro), followed by Moscow, Bucharest, Prague and Warsaw. Investment agencies were also praised for their work in 2011 that „could not be beat.”

What is the Potential of CEE?
